Senior Director, Endocrinology Pharmacy Operations
Remote Corcept is leading the way in the research and development of cortisol modulators, molecules that regulate cortisol activity at the glucocorticoid receptor (GR). To date, we have discovered more than 1,000 selective proprietary cortisol modulators. In 2012, we received FDA approval of Korlym (mifepristone), the first approved treatment for hypercortisolism (Cushing’s syndrome). Today, our team and collaborators continue to unlock the possibilities of cortisol modulation as a way to treat serious diseases. With more than 30 ongoing studies across a wide range of disease areas, including endocrinology, oncology, metabolism, and neurology, we remain dedicated to advancing the possibilities of cortisol modulation. The Senior Director of Endocrinology Pharmacy Operations
will be responsible for overseeing and leading a comprehensive patient services organization for a pharmaceutical manufacturer focusing on Corcept’s core products as well as preparing for upcoming pipeline product launches. This role will manage and optimize the operations of the Patient Support Hub, Field Reimbursement Specialists, Specialty Pharmacy, Financial Assistance programs (including Patient Assistance and copay), and other key functions. The successful candidate will ensure patients receive seamless support throughout their treatment journey, enhancing patient access to therapy and improving overall patient outcomes. Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership - Develop and execute the strategic vision for Patient Services in alignment with company goals and rare disease therapeutic areas. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of professionals across multiple functions, including the Patient Support Hub, Field Reimbursement Specialists, and Specialty Pharmacies. Drive operational excellence, efficiency, and effectiveness across our Endocrinology patient support programs Patient Support Management - Oversee the Case Managers in our HUB to ensure patients and healthcare providers receive high-quality support with product access, adherence, and therapy management. Implement strategies to improve patient engagement and enhance overall service delivery Field Reimbursement Manager - Lead the Field Reimbursement Specialist team to provide in-depth access and reimbursement support to healthcare providers and patients while also focusing on pulling cases through to get patient product approved ensuring seamless journey for patient and simplified processes for Healthcare providers Specialty Pharmacy - Oversee relationship with specialty pharmacy network to include negotiations of contracts, metrics/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Identify service offerings with SPs to ensure patients are getting product distributed as necessary and contractually obligated Continuity of Care & Financial Assistance Programs - Direct the Continuity of Care team or SPP to ensure patients maintain uninterrupted access to therapy. Develop and manage financial assistance programs, including copay programs, patient assistance programs, and other affordability solutions, ensuring alignment with compliance and regulatory requirements Data & Performance Management - Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of patient support programs and drive continuous improvement. Utilize data analytics to identify trends, insights, and opportunities to optimize patient services Compliance & Regulatory Oversight - Ensure all patient services programs comply with regulatory, legal, and corporate policies, including those related to privacy, reimbursement, and financial assistance. Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices, particularly within the rare disease space Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies
Market Access, Patient Services, Field Reimbursement, Specialty Pharmacy/Distribution, Pharma/Biotech, Leadership, Startup experience, Rare Disease Must have an understanding of reimbursement experience in part D, pharmacy benefit, with a strong launch experience Ability to work as part of a collaborative team and partner with colleagues across the organization to build business insights Must possess excellent problem-solving capabilities Experience managing external vendor relationships including specialty pharmacies The candidate is conscientious, detail-oriented, and highly organized with the ability to schedule and complete a significant amount of work within time requirements; is able to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team to accomplish his/her tasks; and possesses project management skills Advanced skills with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases Ability to travel > 50% Preferred Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree 10+ years of pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience, pharmacy benefit, Part D, Specialty pharmacy or relevant consulting experience Endocrinology experience highly desirable 7+ years of experience leading teams in Patient Services, Field Reimbursement and Specialty pharmacy Vendor Management is a requirement Compensation
The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position is $206,700 - $304,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. Requirements
