Seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide essential communication support for a K-12 school setting in Turlock, CA. This contract position runs for the current school year (CSY) and involves working directly with students, staff, and families to facilitate effective communication and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities: Interpret spoken English into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa during classroom instruction, meetings, and school events Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure accessibility and understanding for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when applicable Adapt interpreting services based on the dynamic needs of the educational environment Qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language and English with strong interpreting skills Previous experience interpreting in K-12 educational settings preferred Knowledge of Deaf culture and educational practices for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students Ability to work independently and as part of an educational team Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere Location: Turlock, California (on-site) This contract role provides an impactful opportunity to support the academic success and inclusion of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students throughout the school year.
