Position Overview:This contract opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) who is passionate about supporting students communication needs in a dynamic school environment. You will manage a caseload of approximately 28 students, primarily elementary aged, delivering speech and language assessments and interventions. Collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams will be essential to foster student progress and success. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify individual student needs Develop and implement tailored therapy plans and direct services for students Collaborate with teachers and staff to provide appropriate accommodations within the classroom Monitor and document student progress, adapting therapy strategies as needed Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute to goal setting Provide guidance and resources to parents and caregivers to support home practice Qualifications and Experience: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in K-12 settings Strong communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with educators and families Knowledge of IEP development and special education laws Benefits and Work Schedule: Competitive hourly compensation Scheduled school hours with breaks aligned to the academic calendar Guaranteed work hours for consistent scheduling Position offers a supportive environment near San Jose, CA This temporary leave contract is a great opportunity for SLPs looking to engage with a diverse student population while working in a supportive educational setting.
