A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is needed for a contract position in a K-12 school setting located in Jamaica, NY. This role is anticipated to last the full school year, primarily supporting the K-8 program.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide behavior analysis services for elementary students, particularly those on the autism spectrum with significant behavioral needs.
Assist with data collection processes to monitor student progress and program efficacy.
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as authorized by the district.
Collaborate with school staff to implement behavior support strategies effectively.
Support compliance with district requirements and documentation standards.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Current BCBA certification.
Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially those with autism spectrum disorder and complex behavioral needs.
Proficiency in data collection and analysis related to behavior intervention.
Ability to perform FBAs and design BIPs in a school setting.
Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with educators and administrators.
