Your Responsibilities The Senior Counsel Employment and Litigation will provide employment law and litigation advice to various Business Segments. Reporting directly to thyssenkrupp North America's General Counsel, Kasia Dygas, this role offers general employment law counseling, employment litigation, and commercial litigation support, working with a team of six attorneys. The position is remote with occasional travel to segment sites. Key Responsibilities Provide legal advice on employment law, employee benefits, and litigation management. Conduct workplace investigations. Establish objectives and schedules aligned with business needs. Assist in creating workplace policies compliant with laws. Understand business requirements and assess risks. Coordinate with outside counsel on employment and litigation issues. Advise on union issues and collective bargaining agreements. Approve bills from external counsel and professionals. Collaborate on strategic planning for legal matters. Stay informed on current legal issues. Share knowledge and experiences within the team. Qualifications Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school. Active bar license in good standing in any US jurisdiction. At least six (6+) years of employment and litigation experience, with expertise in federal and state employment issues. Experience in employment law counseling, investigations, wage/hour compliance, employee benefits, and labor relations. Experience in a multinational environment; law firm and in-house experience preferred. Key Attributes Strong business judgment and understanding of legal impact on business. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (~quarterly). Proficiency in Spanish is a plus, not required.
