Overview
KBKG is seeking a
Regional Account Director of Business Development
to drive B2B sales of specialty tax consulting services in the Boston and greater Boston region. This role is focused on establishing and growing CPA and direct client relationships, generating new business opportunities, and contributing to the firm’s growth. Based in
Boston , this individual will work in a
fully remote
model and engage directly with CPAs, CFOs, and business leaders across industries such as biotech, engineering, and manufacturing. This is a high-trust, high-impact sales role with significant income potential and direct access to firm leadership.
Compensation
Base pay range:
$100,000/yr - $120,000/yr
Additional compensation types:
Annual Bonus and Commission
What You’ll Bring
8+ years of B2B sales experience, with a track record of success in consultative selling environments.
Hunter mentality—self-starter who thrives on prospecting and creating new relationships.
Experience selling into CPA firms or financial professionals strongly preferred.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills; able to simplify complex topics.
History of internal promotions or sales achievements in previous roles.
Coachable, goal-oriented, and professional in both presentation and demeanor.
Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
Experience with payroll, financial services, or tax-related industries is a plus.
Preferred Experience
Experience selling payroll, 401K, HRIS, or tax services.
CPA licensure or direct experience partnering with CPA firms and working with CFOs.

What the Role Entails
Prospect and close B2B deals across the Boston area.
Build referral networks with CPA firms and directly engage CFOs and business owners.
Conduct outbound outreach—expectation of 50+ dials/week during training; 15 meetings/week once ramped.
Represent KBKG at regional networking events and conferences.
Collaborate with internal teams including technical consultants and sales support.
Maintain CRM data and sales forecasting in Salesforce.
Participate in 4–5 weeks of onboarding and technical training, starting with in-person session in Pasadena, CA.
Performance Objectives
90-Day Goal:
Complete onboarding and training; develop foundational knowledge of KBKG’s service offerings. Begin building a CPA partner pipeline; schedule 30+ prospecting meetings.
180-Day Goal:
Establish 3–5 new referral partnerships and begin closing initial deals. Achieve consistent outreach activity metrics: 50 dials/month, 10–15 meetings/week.
365-Day Goal:
Achieve $1M in closed business. Grow referral network; independently manage multiple CPA and client relationships. Qualify for bonus tier based on exceeding revenue targets.
