We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead our HR function and serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team in a food manufacturing organization with ~1,200 employees. The ideal candidate has progressed through HR generalist and HR manager roles, understands manufacturing environments, and has the executive presence to influence strategy across the organization. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Lead the design and execution of the company’s HR strategy, aligning with organizational goals and growth initiatives. Executive advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and the executive team on people-related matters. Culture and engagement: Champion a strong company culture and employee engagement across all locations. Multi-site engagement: Develop and execute plans to engage teams at all facilities (including 2 additional locations) and travel regularly to sites to ensure alignment and consistent HR policies and culture. Talent management and development: Drive recruitment, development, and retention strategies; build leadership pipelines and succession plans; oversee performance management and training initiatives. HR operations and compliance: Oversee compensation, benefits, employee relations, and compliance with state and federal labor laws and food manufacturing regulations; lead HR systems strategy with Paylocity and data analytics. Culture and change management: Lead initiatives that foster an inclusive, safe, and collaborative work environment and serve as a visible, value-adding strategic partner to operations; guide organizational change to support growth. Qualifications

Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s preferred. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification required (senior-level preferred). Experience: 12+ years of progressive HR leadership, including at least 5 years in a VP of HR or CHRO role; experience in a food manufacturing environment is mandatory; demonstrated success building and scaling HR functions in 500+ employee organizations; hands-on HR generalist experience early in career. Skills & Attributes: Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at all levels; proficient with Paylocity and advanced Excel; excellent communication, relationship-building, and change management; willingness to travel ~25–35%.
