Overview
System Performance Modeling Engineer for Dishwashing, Laundry, and Cooking Systems. You will design, simulate, and validate detailed dynamic models of complex appliances using Dymola and the Modelica ecosystem to support engineering teams in product development, architecture decisions, and cost-reduction actions for current production. Key Responsibilities
Model development for appliance subsystems (Dish / Laundry / Cooking):
Dishwashers Thermal and energy modeling including washing cycles, spray flow dynamics, and energy use. Laundry products Washing cycles, motor/pump energy use, and heat transfer for drying (where applicable). Cooking appliances Energy transfer and heating modeling of ovens and cooktops using thermal system components.
Model calibration and validation: Validate simulation results against experimental data. Optimization: Apply model-based optimization to improve product attributes (energy usage, cleaning performance, drying performance) and perform multivariate analyses. Simulation workflows: Automate parameter sweeps, post-processing, and performance reporting using scripting (Python). Leverage FMI for model integration into co-simulation environments or control systems. Knowledge sharing & documentation: Document model assumptions, structure, validation results, and provide clear technical communication across teams. Support digital twin initiatives and system integration. Prepare and present results/reports in slides. Collaborate with cross-functional, category, and global teams to align simulation capabilities. Project management: Manage multiple projects with effective communication with design, CAD, preprocessing, and lab teams to ensure timely delivery. Qualifications
Minimum
Masters or equivalent in Mechanical, Aerospace, Automotive, Thermal, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or similar. 23 years of experience in Dymola, Modelica, and systems modeling. Familiarity with FMI standards, model calibration, and optimization. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python. Experience with software like ModeFrontier. Strong foundation in numerical methods, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, or control theory. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; fluent in English. Collaborative and solution-oriented approach. Preferred
2+ years of experience with tools like MATLAB, Ansys Fluent, or similar. CFD experience for turbulent flow, convective heat transfer, and pumps. Industry experience in automotive, aerospace, HVAC, or similar high-complexity fields. PTC Creo modeling experience. English language skills fluent. Location
Hyderabad, Kavuri Hills Why This Role Matters
Boost energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact of everyday home appliances. Enhance product performance through optimized cleaning and drying cycles. Support regulatory compliance with energy ratings and labels. Enable innovation through digital twin strategies and intelligent control integration.
