Overview
Marketing Manager, Social Media at Crate & Barrel and Crate & Kids. Leads presence across organic social media platforms and is responsible for developing and executing organic social media strategies that drive engagement, strengthen brand voice and deliver measurable business results. The ideal candidate has hands-on content creator experience, passion for social media and trending content, and is a leader who can guide the team toward world-class storytelling and top-tier content creation.
Base pay Base pay range: $68,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
Remote/On-site This is an on-site position (Monday through Thursday) based out of our Northbrook, IL office with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
A day in the life as a Marketing Manager, Social Media…
Ownership of all Crate & Barrel and Crate & Kids social media platforms including Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok
Lead Creative and Production teams in ideation around and creation of reactive social content that responds to new social trends and relevant home furnishings or pop culture news
Expand social media reach and maintain favorable consumer sentiment with consistently growing engagement
Design and evolve social media and influencer strategy
Create strategies to test new social channels and product features where relevant
Oversee social media reporting to key stakeholders; articulate insights, trends and learnings
Oversee community management, moderation, scheduling content, and escalation for thought leadership, engagement and crisis management
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure initiatives have 360-degree support across channels
Manage the social media content calendar; coordinate with Public Relations and Merchandising
Update information with Creative and eCommerce teams; curate content and development with creative teams
Develop monthly reporting and optimization implications; implement opportunities to demonstrate engagement and potential ROI
Provide training and case studies on leveraging social media for the brand; contribute to social media policies and best practices
Maintain community management standards and escalation processes
Develop, implement, and manage innovative ideas to drive engagement and grow external social communities
Stay current with social media trends to improve customer experience and drive sales
Monitor all social platforms and respond as necessary
What you’ll bring to the table…
Proven track record of developing and executing successful multi-platform social strategies
Experience managing influencer relationships and paid social campaigns
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Experience managing social media communities including moderation and content programming for retail/home lifestyle brands
Excellent written language and editorial skills
Knowledge of social media management and analytics systems
Ability to integrate information from diverse areas

6+ years of relevant marketing experience; retail experience is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field
Background in journalism, editorial, web development, site content management, photography or Photoshop is preferred
Experience with copywriting, storytelling, concepting and visual communication skills
Proficiency with social media tools and analytics platforms
Additional information Pay ranges will be adjusted upward as needed to comply with applicable state and local law. In addition to salary, associates may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and long-term incentives depending on role.
