The IS Technical Services Team Manager is responsible for the execution of Retro-Commissioning and Commissioning services for assigned projects, aiming to meet budget, schedule, and quality requirements. The role drives project outcomes for retro-commissioning and relevant new construction commissioning scopes with a solutions-based mindset. Collaboration with the entire project delivery teamengineering, execution project executives, construction management, engineers, and trade partnersis essential to fulfill the duties of the position. The role also involves leading and developing resources assigned to the IS Technical Services Team Manager. Responsibilities Perform assigned duties in accordance with company safety guidelines, policies, and procedures. Provide mentorship and management for the assigned team. Participate in the development of scope, technical approach, KPIs, staffing plan, and estimates for new projects. Establish and update the Technical Services Project Execution Plans to accomplish the project scope within budget and schedule. Develop and maintain monthly forecast of cost for the project. Develop and manage delivery schedules for assigned scopes, integrating tasks with the master project schedule, and participate in scheduling meetings to resolve conflicts. Maintain familiarity with project scope adjustments for automation and MEP disciplines; inform leadership of potential concerns, conflicts, schedule, or budget updates. Manage resources to implement the Project Execution Plan and track KPIs to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery; coordinate with the Technical Services Director on staff utilization and skill sets. Track energy performance for assigned scopes during construction and ensure targets are met. Coordinate with project delivery team and partners to document and communicate project requirements. Work with design, construction, data delivery, and MBCx teams to coordinate project scopes. Identify and address design or construction issues with the appropriate delivery team members and partners. Collaborate with Energy Management to quantify and prioritize responses to existing conditions and deficiencies; communicate action plans clearly to the project team. Assist with issue resolution by proposing solutions. Escalate constraints to achieve project outcomes with leadership and energy management as needed. Ensure communications from team members to the project delivery team are properly directed and followed up. Review expense reports and time entries for accuracy, budget adherence, and policy compliance. Perform project closeout activities including reporting, team reviews, turnover meetings, and lessons learned. Adhere to IS Delivery and IS Technical Services process guidelines and SOPs. Uphold company core values. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field. 5+ years of commissioning or related experience with mechanical, electrical, building automation systems, programming, or building operation management experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong leadership skills. Attention to safety. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work with minimal or limited information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Competency with cloud-based commissioning software platforms.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications

Engineering Intern (EI) certification and/or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure. PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Commissioning Certification from ACG, BCxA, ASHRAE. Building automation systems design and programming experience.

Travel Requirements

0-5% of the time will be spent traveling to the job site(s)/office locations.

Pay Range
