Required Qualifications: Minimum of seven years experience as a Cloud, DevOps, or Systems Engineer or a Bachelors Degree with 4+ years of experience Advanced knowledge of DevOps: Git-based source control, software tools and builds, artifact storage, CI/CD pipelines, static and dynamic code scanning tools, runtime environments, and deployments Advanced familiarity with Azure and other major Cloud Service Providers (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud): IaaS and PaaS offerings for compute, storage, networking, database, and other managed services Ability to break down high-level business requirements into project-level scopes, then design, document, and implement cloud and DevOps solutions Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable with customers, engineers, sales, and executives Awareness of cloud-native event-driven architectures Ability to create clear, concise, and thorough documentation for internal and customer-facing use cases Ability to quickly learn complex new technologies and communicate recommendations Proficiency in generating and presenting architectural drawings Experience with Agile Project Management, Scrum, and distributed project teams Proficiency in scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar) Experience with containerized workloads; familiarity with Docker and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, docker-compose) or serverless containers Experience with Terraform / OpenTofu or Bicep Self-starter with a passion for continuous learning Experience applying security baselines and patches to cloud-based systems Responsibilities (Activities): Administer and automate all aspects of Azure and Office365 cloud tools and workloads RegScale SaaS platform, lab environments, DevOps including using Infrastructure as Code System administration for Azure infrastructure including monitoring, patching, user management, and securing applications Command line access (SSH) into Azure environment to manage cloud-based systems Design and build solutions powering DevOps monitoring, networking, and security programs Maintain DevOps pipelines: new functionality, integrations, and troubleshooting Maintain and administer logging and monitoring environments, dashboards, and alerts Improve installation, configuration, and deployment processes for efficiency and repeatability Support RegScale Cyber Security team by implementing architecture components and policies, responding to incidents, and providing required compliance artifacts Interface with development team to support changes, upgrades, enhancements, and new features Review cloud invoices for cost efficiency and recommend optimizations Collaborate with Data team to build and maintain analytics architecture Administer cloud-based backup, retention, and disaster recovery tools Develop and troubleshoot Dockerfiles, deploy containers to registries, and assist with patching containers Innovate. Education/Training, Qualifications, and Certification: Must be a US citizen and capable of passing a background check and random drug testing If remote, willingness to travel to the R&D office in Knoxville, TN up to 6 times per year Desired certifications: Azure Cloud, Kubernetes, and/or DevOps engineering and architecture (including Infrastructure as Code); Scrum or Project Management Seniority level
