The Events Manager role is a key part of the firms marketing and business development function, working closely with leaders across multiple groups to design and deliver programs that strengthen client relationships and enhance visibility. This person will be responsible for shaping event strategy, managing execution, and ensuring alignment with overall firm goals. The position offers a

and can be based in
Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, or Washington, DC . Base pay range
$120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Additional compensation types
Annual Bonus Responsibilities
Partner with colleagues across marketing, business development, practice management, and client teams to create and implement an event strategy that supports broader firm initiatives. Identify and deliver opportunities for client-facing programs that reinforce relationship-building and thought leadership. Establish best practices, guidelines, and processes that ensure consistency and quality across events. Research and propose new event concepts that align with broader campaigns. Lead a team of two senior planners, providing oversight, coaching, and professional development support. Manage event budgets, track spending, and report on outcomes to demonstrate ROI. Collaborate with CRM and BD professionals to coordinate communications, audience targeting, and post-event follow-up. Work with operations and vendors to select technologies and tools that enhance attendee engagement. Monitor results, analyze performance metrics, and provide recommendations for improvements. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, or a related discipline. 5-8 years of professional event management experience in a law firm, professional services, or corporate environment. Demonstrated ability to manage a team and oversee a portfolio of complex, high-visibility events. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines. Exceptional communication skills with a client-service orientation. Proficiency with event technology (e.g., Cvent), Microsoft Office, and CRM tools such as DealCloud (or similar). Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours and travel for events as needed.
