Aerospace Quality Assurance Engineer
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will manage all aspects of Supplier Quality Assurance, including evaluation, documentation, and communication. You will be responsible for owning supplier performance metrics and driving improvements using supplier scorecards. You will act as the primary contact for supplier-related quality issues and collaborate with internal teams to resolve non-conforming material issues. Additionally, you will review purchase orders for quality compliance, lead supplier corrective actions, ensure thorough root cause analysis, and perform statistical analysis while monitoring key quality metrics. You will also be tasked with developing and maintaining quality procedures and specifications, supporting the development and maintenance of ISO9001/AS9100-compliant Quality Management Systems (QMS), participating in internal audits, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. Your role will include reviewing and approving technical drawings and documentation, generating and presenting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and assisting with other quality-related tasks as needed. Essential Skills: Proven experience in a QA/QC role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to collaborate across departments and levels. Experience with ISO9001 quality systems; AS9100 experience is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Audit and process improvement.
