A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: MRI Tech - MRI Tech Job Details: • Work a combination of 2-12 hour shifts and 2-8 hour shifts • Saturday worked shift rotation required • Variable call rotation schedule • May be required to work flexible hours, alternate shifts, weekends, and call as necessary • May be required to flex hours/shift as needed to support department needs • Perform MRI procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images • Prepare patients for procedures and provide patient instruction • Apply principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk • Select and operate magnetic resonance systems, surface coils, and associated equipment • Position patients and equipment to demonstrate anatomic areas of interest • Perform venipuncture, start and maintain venous access • Prepare and administer contrast media • Assist physicians with interventional procedures • Practice aseptic technique and observe universal precautions • Evaluate images and data for technical quality • Use radiology information systems including PACS • Work as part of multidisciplinary team and participate in committees and projects • Graduate of accredited radiography program required • Experience as MRI Technologist required • ARRT Radiography registration required • ARRT MRI registration required • Approved CPR or BLS certification required Facility: This healthcare facility operates as a comprehensive hospital and trauma center providing advanced medical services to the community.
