Northrop Grumman Space SystemsLaunch and Missile Defense Systems presents an excellent opportunity for a Principal Engineer Software SW CI/CD Engineer to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. This position, based in Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL, is crucial in supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels. This position does not offer relocation assistance and requires working on-site with no option for remote work. Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital part of the Missile Defense System. It provides a key operational platform that allows the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively manage networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC offers layered missile defense capabilities, delivering an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It acts as a force multiplier by linking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations worldwide and locally to improve overall effectiveness. Additionally, C2BMC is a crucial part of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities. As a member of the Regional Applications Agile Release Train (RA ART) of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC), this role will be responsible for collaborating across the ART to implement and maintain a standardized CI/CD pipeline for all Product Teams within the RA ART, covering two development sites. The candidate will need to work closely with the Cyber and Platforms ART to ensure that the tools and applications in the pipeline are maintained and meet security and other requirements. They will also be expected to provide regular updates on the pipeline's status and work to resolve any issues that arise. Essential Functions: Experience working within classified environments to implement CI/CD pipelines supporting multiple software releases and build versions Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess the flexibility to adapt in a highly dynamic environment Need to collaborate effectively with multiple disciplinary teams, especially Systems Admins, IT, and Security Salary Range: Huntsville: $105,400 - $158,000 Colorado Springs: $100,300 - $150,500 Basic Qualifications: Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university is preferred, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree (preferred) in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start Candidates with an active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) are strongly preferred at the time of application. If such a certification is not held, it must be obtained within 40 days of the start date. The selected candidate will be responsible for securing and maintaining their DoD 8140 certification.
