Job Overview
The Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the marketing and branding efforts while managing the proposal development process, for a civil engineering and surveying firm with approximately 125 employees. This position involves a balanced focus, dedicating 50% of the time to writing and coordinating marketing proposals, and 50% to leading branding and marketing strategies. Job Responsibilities Proposal Development Lead the preparation and quality assurance of high-profile engineering proposals, qualifications, and presentations, ensuring clear communication and compliance with requirements. Collaborate across teams, facilitating strategy meetings, compiling technical content, and coordinating efforts with Project Managers to develop proposals and presentations. Conduct competitor research, market analysis, and client debriefs to enhance the businesss competitive edge and proposal effectiveness. Ensure timely updates of employee resumes, project descriptions, and corporate capabilities statements. Ensure adherence to company brand standards, while juggling multiple tasks and tight deadlines. Marketing Development Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company's business goals and enhance brand recognition. Collaborate with senior management to strategize, create, and execute marketing campaigns that enhance brand visibility and drive business growth. Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials and digital platforms, including the companys website, social media accounts, and presentations. Produce high-quality content for various marketing materials, including proposals, qualification packages, business cards, brochures, and newsletters. Represent CDS Muery at industry trade shows, conferences, and events to network and develop relationships with key stakeholders in the engineering community. Maintain and update the library of marketing collateral, including project photos, graphics, and promotional videos. Design and produce signage, banners, and display advertisements for job sites and events.
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. 6 to 8 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on digital media, email marketing, and integrated campaigns, preferably within the engineering, construction, and architecture sectors or consulting/professional services.
Qualifications
Proficiency in desktop publishing software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to create persuasive and visually compelling marketing materials. Strong organizational and project management skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Familiarity with social media platforms, website content management systems, and digital marketing tools.
Working Conditions
Most work is performed in a professional office environment. Must be local to San Antonio, TX for consideration. Some travel may be required for trade shows, conferences.
