As the Medical Director, you'll: Provide direct patient care, including physical exams, medication management, labs, imaging, and medical documentation (charts, death summaries, grievance reviews). Oversee clinical care delivery, ensuring timely and appropriate access to services for all inmatesregardless of housing or segregation status. Supervise and support Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), including hiring, training, delegating, evaluating, and mentoring. Collaborate with Utilization Management, Clinical Pharmacists, Contractors, Specialists, and administrative partners within TTUHSC and TDCJ. Maintain adherence to TTUHSC Managed Care SOPs, Correctional Managed Health Care Policies, and ACA standards. Participate in compensated call duties approximately one week every 15 weeks. You will report to the Regional Medical Director and operate with significant autonomy, making key decisions that impact both individual patient care and system-wide effectiveness.
