Data Solutions Architect role at Benchmark. The Data Solutions Architect will be responsible for strategically designing and implementing business intelligence, data warehouses, and data integration solutions as an integrated centrally designed platform while ensuring high levels of data availability and quality. This individual will also be responsible for defining data standards and models for enterprise data architectures. Responsibilities

Define and govern data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development for enterprise data models. Create models for new data warehouse development and/or changes to existing data stores. Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to data systems. Ensure that data strategies and architectures are in regulatory compliance and follow best practice. Document the data architecture and environment to maintain a current and accurate view of the larger data picture. Identify data discrepancies and data quality issues, and work to ensure data consistency and integrity. Identify inefficiencies and gaps in the current data platform and leverage solutions to ensure data standards. Identify the architecture, infrastructure, and interfaces to data sources, tools supporting automated data loads, security concerns, analytic models, and data visualization. Map data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, to ensure data quality. Work with business and application/solution teams to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual/logical/physical data models. Work with data team and end-users to identify, create, and deliver data and reports according to requirements. Diagnose and work with IT and data personnel to resolve data warehouse access and performance issues. Design and manage ETL processes and data pipeline code. Qualifications & Experience

A bachelor’s degree (or related experience) in a relevant technical field including, but not limited to computer science, computer engineering, information systems, mathematics, or systems engineering. 3+ years of hands-on relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience using RDBMS, dimensional, NoSQL data platform technologies, and ETL and data ingestion protocols, including design, modeling, building, installing, configuring, and supporting multi-terabyte data warehouses. Experience with data platforms and modeling, including Azure data platform, Oracle, SQL Server, Azure/MS Analysis Services. Experience with Microsoft Power BI, PowerQuery (M-language) and DAX. Experience with Infor Data Lake a plus. Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques, developing data information flows, business process modeling and analyzing business requirements. Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile/scrum methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations. Must make crucial design decisions affecting production systems and schedules, with input from domain experts, project team members, customers, and governance structures. Detail oriented, organized, and able to critically analyze business processes and independently solve problems in a complex development environment. Analytical thinking, problem solving, project management, and the ability to coordinate to maintain accurate design models. Effective organization and prioritization skills. Work proactively and independently to address project requirements and communicate issues to reduce delivery risks. Excellent technical architecture and documentation skills. Strong presentation and interpersonal skills; strong written and oral communication. Abilities

Ability to approach deliverables with a macro-perspective and understand business needs when delivering technical solutions. Discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and professionalism when representing the company. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. Ability to research data issues, standards, and products as required. Demonstrated ability to interpret technical information and apply it to corporate goals. Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities. Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
