Job Summary
The Visibility Manager of Software Engineering manages and oversees the design and development of software applications. Responsibilities
Directs the work of engineers to ensure best practices around software development. Typically reports to a senior manager or top management. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adheres to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Role will entail 50% management, 50% development work. Qualifications
Requires Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience. Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in the related area; minimal supervisory experience may be required as an individual contributor. Development Skills: C#, HTML, JavaScript, JavaScript Framework Experience, CSS Framework Experience, MS SQL Server. Development Skills desired: Vue.js, Vuetify, npm, git, Azure DevOps, Agile & Waterfall SDLC. Knowledge of WMS material handling equipment and software offerings; experience in the material handling industry, distribution centers and warehouse automation; knowledge of Team Foundation Server version control. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities; ability to lead teams and projects; ability to multi-task with attention to detail and deadlines; self-motivated and collaborative.
