Overview
IT Security Analyst LHH
is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented IT Security Analyst to safeguard critical data, identify vulnerabilities, and implement robust security measures. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining our clients cybersecurity defenses, ensuring compliance with industry best practices, and responding proactively to emerging threats. Key Responsibilities Threat Monitoring:
Continuously monitor network traffic and security logs to detect suspicious activities. Vulnerability Assessments:
Perform regular vulnerability scans and penetration tests to identify and evaluate potential weaknesses in our systems and applications. Policy Development:
Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, processes, and best practices that align with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Incident Response:
Act swiftly to security incidents by coordinating response efforts, containing breaches, and leading a post-incident review to bolster preventative measures. Cross-Department Collaboration:
Work alongside IT, development, and operations teams to integrate security best practices into all technical initiatives. Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and threat landscapes to enhance the organizations overall security posture.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Demonstrable experience in IT security analysis, incident management, and threat monitoring. Familiarity with established security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls. In-depth understanding of network protocols, firewall configurations, IDS/IPS systems, and SIEM tools. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly regarded. Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
