Overview
Administrative Specialist-Administrative: Georgia State University, Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology. Responsibilities
Serve as the Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) coordinator and manage the GRA program for the department. Prepare all GRA/GTA/UA hire and travel paperwork each semester by working closely with the Ph.D. and Masters Program Directors, Chair, and Business Manager. Prepare GRA/GTA employment and verification letters. Prepare GTA hire information for Board of Regents approval to teach. Approve University Assistants, Temporaries and Student Assistants time in OneUSG. Coordinate Honors Day and all student scholarship matters. Assist the Chair with faculty meetings. Provide administrative support for the study abroad program. Process departmental Foundation forms and PantherMart purchases. Manage student directory and web profiles. Coordinate classroom and conference room reservations. Prepare all PTI hire paperwork and provide Policy Manual to new PTIs. Prepare and submit bulk reappointment to AYSPS Deans Office. Coordinate all departmental events and training. Monitor the front desk and respond to inquiries from callers, visitors, couriers, etc. Perform other duties as necessary. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree and two years of administrative experience; or high school diploma or GED and six years of administrative experience; or a combination of education and related experience. Preferred Hiring Qualifications
Experience with University rules and guidelines. Knowledge of GoSolar, Spectrum, PantherMart, OneUSG, Microsoft Word and Excel. College/Business Unit
