Manager IT Indirect Spend
to lead the standardization of Indirect IT Spend contracting, negotiating, service delivery, and solutions. The role requires 5-7 years experience and active management of RFI/RFP processes and sourcing strategy. The position is based in Atlanta with a hybrid schedule. Job Purpose
Our Manager of IT Indirect Spend will be responsible for the IT vendor management process from SLA monitoring and management to contract renewal/termination. They are responsible for driving operational excellence and serve as the main contact for IT vendor contracts. The manager provides leadership in the standardization of Indirect IT Spend contracting, negotiating, service delivery and solutions for the IT Indirect Spend category. Responsibilities Define sourcing strategy and ensure effective management of vendors and sourcing relationships; participate in RFI/RFP processes. Maintain strategic vendor alignment with Veritivs IT organizations goals and initiatives. Develop IT vendor management principles and ensure execution against defined principles. Establish strong, collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to strategically develop, implement and optimize vendor management processes, tools, and policies to achieve performance objectives while mitigating vendor risk. Develop robust IT vendor relationships to maintain effective communication channels and ensure ongoing alignment across several operations teams. Manage all IT contract negotiations and relationship management for all key vendor relationships, including defining service level agreements and implementation of incentive plans aligned with delivering best in class support. Lead discovery and research of new IT vendors/technologies. Manage governance structure and key contacts to ensure appropriate vendor interaction to support Veritivs business operations. Oversee monitoring of vendor performance against contractual obligations to ensure overall effectiveness of vendor-provided services using vendor performance dashboards, scorecards and/or reports. Proactively engage with corporate departments to support initiatives and strategies associated with key metrics for the partnership and its growth. Ensure vendor performance improvement and recovery plans are developed, issued, tracked, and reported on. Manage IT procurement through ServiceNow and Indirect Spend field procurement through Oracle. Support IT Finance with quality control for inbound invoices regarding valid accounting codes, PO numbers, and approval routing. Conduct yearly business reviews with Business Partners.
Qualifications
5+ years of IT contract management, vendor management and/or procurement experience including standard terms and conditions, SLAs, and IT-specific contractual requirements. 3+ years of experience in purchasing, supplier collaboration, development, and compliance. Experience with sourcing, procurement and building a vendor program. Demonstrated experience in managing IT teams delivering and supporting complex projects and applications; understanding of foundational technology operations. Experience negotiating agreements with Tier One technology and service providers including Oracle, IBM, Dell, and Microsoft. Expert in IT governance formulation, strategic planning, and fiscal management. Highly skilled in negotiations, networking, and decision-making. Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial controls as it relates to contract execution, vendor payment, and budgets and planning. Ability to effectively drive business, culture, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment. Ability to balance what is "right" with what is "realistic". Ability to deal efficiently with escalations and demanding situations/people under pressure.
Work Experience
5-10 years of related job experience. Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes. Experience planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework. Must be highly motivated, flexible and deadline driven. Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills are required. The ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
