TCS is searching for a
Principal Software Engineer
to join our strong team of Software Developers supporting our Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) customer in Huntsville, AL. The GMD program is a portion of the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) system to protect the US and our allies from ballistic missile attack. The selected candidate will use modern development automation and management tools to further the development of the GMD system. This is an in-office position. Remote work is not available. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience or a master's degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of experience, or a PhD and 1 year of experience. Experience developing software in C++ and Java Experience with Python or other scripting languages. Experience with automated testing Applicants must possess a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance

Familiarity with Agile software development practices. Experience with low level software to hardware interfaces Experience with CMake Experience with gRPC Current CompTIA Sec+ certification A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.
