Federal Civilian Business Development Senior Manager at KBR. This front-end Business Development leadership role focuses on Federal Civilian Agency mission and technology programs. The BD Lead is responsible for building relationships with the government, creating a focused pipeline, and pursuing large opportunities. The role targets single award opportunities ranging from $50M to $1 billion with agencies such as DHS, DOJ, Treasury and other FedCiv organizations. Travel to KBR facilities and customer locations is required. Responsibilities
Responsible for the management and execution of the full BD life-cycle process across pursuits and proposals Routinely build pipeline and advance winnable opportunities with average sizes of $200M+. Engage the customer, shape future procurements, design a winning strategy, and develop a capture plan that translates into win themes Ensure the voice of the customer is reflected in content throughout the capture process Plan, lead, and execute BD activities including: Leading the development of a healthy pipeline of new opportunities Qualify and assess win-ability of opportunities and move them through milestones Develop knowledge of customer requirements and lead solutioning/planning sessions with the capture team Coordinate meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to gain market insight on requirements, timing, and contract vehicle choices Lead milestone/gate reviews, solution sessions, and proposal reviews Lead the development and submission of white papers, RFI responses, and other engagement activities Apply KBR BD best practices to each pursuit, including customer engagement and win-theme development Brief pipeline and opportunity status to senior management at specified milestones Create winning solutions and pursue large new business programs Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree and a total of 12+ years of experience, including 10+ years in the industry and 6+ years in business development Experience winning new business and single award contracts valued over $200M Ability to work with senior business and government leaders and provide leadership in the workplace Pre-existing knowledge and relationships with federal civilian agencies with a proven track record of winning single award programs as a prime Ability to win new business and drive profitable financial outcomes Proven success in Fed Civ disciplines: business development, opportunity identification and qualification, account planning, and strategic planning Demonstrated leadership in services-centric organizations to develop and execute BD activities, including building teams and shaping acquisitions At KBR, we are committed to our people and a Zero Harm culture.
