Overview
The Research Coordinator assists and collaborates with the Principal Investigators (PIs) and research collaborators in reaching research goals in the department. This position requires a considerable degree of responsibility, flexibility, and independence to perform diverse duties related to carrying out research protocols and analysis of behavioral and neuroimaging data related to effort and fatigue perception in healthy individuals and those with neurological and psychiatric disorders.
Responsibilities
Assist with preparation of Institutional Review Board (IRB) required materials (i.e., protocol application and related forms, changes in research, reports of
adverse events, etc.) and preparation of compliance and regulatory documentation for local (e.g., IRB), state, and federal (e.g., Food and Drug Administration) agencies as well as any other pertinent entity (e.g., study sponsor).
Assist with and coordinate day-to-day research study activities to include, but not limited to, implementing study protocol procedures and scheduling and
coordinating study procedures
Communicate directly with research collaborators, study sponsor, study vendors, and other patient service providers regarding progress of the study and/or data.
Manage research data in accordance with protocols established by Principal Investigators (PIs) or sponsors, to include, but not be limited to, data entry, data transfer, data archiving, data maintenance, and data analysis. Communicate with research collaborators regarding data-related study progress, issues, and
problems, as applicable. Complete general administrative work related to assigned studies, including but not limited to, records management, processing subject reimbursements and incentives, inventory and ordering supplies, and organizing billing of services. Assist with the preparation of study-related materials, progress reports, and any other research execution/implementation pertinent documentation. Qualifications EDUCATION: Bachelors degree required.
Graduate degree in medicine, engineering, or a related field preferred.
