ASRC Federal is searching for a Cybersecurity Engineer to support our Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) Program Executive Office (PEO) contract in Hanover, MD.

Remote flexibility available! Telework offered with a requirement to be onsite up to one (1) day a week at Hanover, MD.

Overview Job Description: As the Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, testing, and implementation of security solutions for DCSA cloud security operations. Designing and implementing secure systems, networks, and monitoring; managing IT security, incident response, digital forensics, and loss prevention. Recommend and implement system enhancements for performance and reliability, maintain security audit and logging information.

Basic Requirements

Eight (8) years knowledge of AWS or modern cloud computing environments

Experience planning, developing, delivering, and deploying configuration-managed updates to systems capabilities to maximize operational availability and cybersecurity

Must be self-motivated and capable of interacting with organizations internal and external that consist of groups of operators, developers, engineers, testers and product vendors

Must be able to articulate technical concepts verbally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer

Required Skills

Understanding of offensive and defensive cyber operations

Functional knowledge of scripting using Python

Understanding of version control using Git

DevOps and automation workflows to enhance cybersecurity posture of enterprise environment

Ability to train team members in emerging cyber procedures and tactics

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

This is a partial Telework position (one day onsite per week)

Education

Bachelor’s Degree, in Cybersecurity, and/or Information Systems Management or equivalent experience

Certification(s)

Must meet DoD cloud certification equivalency and DD8140/DoD8570.01-M at the time of hire.

Required (at least one of the following):

IASAE level I (e.g., CASP CE, CISSP (or Associate or CSSLP))

IAT Level II (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ or SSCP)

IAM II (e.g., CAP, CISM or GSLC)

Additional Certifications (Preferred)

Multiple cloud certifications, Zscaler Certified Deployment Specialist, ZPA Certified Support Specialist and ZIA Certified Support Specialist Certifications

Clearance Level

Active Top-Secret Clearance REQUIRED, eligible to be upgraded to TS/SCI

This position is offering a pay range of $103,936 - $157,000 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and factors permitted by law.
