Inpatient Pharmacist (Travel) - October Start - Page County, IA

Join a critical access hospital that plays a vital role in providing comprehensive healthcare to its rural community. The facility houses both a fully operational inpatient pharmacy and a busy retail/outpatient pharmacy, allowing for a dynamic work environment. The primary focus for this role will be inpatient pharmacy services, where youll work closely with providers, nurses, and clinical teams to ensure safe and effective medication therapy for patients across multiple departmentsincluding acute care, infusion center, and chemotherapy services. Responsibilities will include order verification, managing a warfarin clinic, transcribing infusion/chemotherapy orders, and overseeing the preparation of complex IV and chemotherapy medications. While the need is primarily inpatient, candidates who enjoy a variety of practice settings may also have the opportunity to provide outpatient/retail coverage, engaging with community patients, handling prescription processing, and ensuring continuity of care from hospital to home. Manage warfarin clinic

Transcribe infusion center and chemotherapy orders

Verify mixing/preparation of IV and chemotherapy medications

Outpatient Responsibilities (optional): Support daily retail pharmacy operations alongside inpatient duties

Schedule: Full-time preferred , but

part-time (34 days/week)

7:30 a.m.4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.4:30 p.m. (MF)

Outpatient Hours:

8:00 a.m.7:00 p.m. (MF) and 9:30 a.m.1:30 p.m. (Sat/Sun)

DRX (retail)

Requirements: Iowa Pharmacist license or eligibility for a temporary license

Hospital pharmacy experience required
