A healthcare professional with LPN/LVN certification is needed to provide one-on-one care for a student with Down Syndrome in a school setting. This contract position is located in the Elgin/St. Charles, IL area and involves specialized medical support during the school day.

Key Responsibilities: Administer approximately eight gastrostomy (G-tube) feedings daily Monitor blood glucose levels using the Blue Loop system Provide diabetic care including insulin administration and carbohydrate counting Ensure the students safety and comfort while performing medical tasks Collaborate with school staff and family to support the students health needs Qualifications: Current LPN or LVN license in Illinois Experience in pediatric care, particularly with students requiring G-tube feeding Proficient in diabetes management, including blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration Ability to maintain accurate health records and communicate with educators and families Compassionate and patient-focused approach Location: Elgin/St. Charles, Illinois (school-based assignment) Benefits and Perks: Contract position with defined schedule Opportunity to work closely with a student requiring specialized medical care Collaborative school environment Interested candidates with relevant experience and certifications are encouraged to apply to provide specialized nursing support within this educational setting.
