This is a 9/80 schedule so every other Friday they will be off and Friday working will be 7:30am to 4pm. Minimum of 10 years of experience. Must be U.S Citizen, Naturalize Citizen or Green Card holder. The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for developing complex electronic control hardware and circuit card designs for new products, including those used in space applications. This role involves independently evaluating and adapting engineering techniques to solve challenging design problems and leading the work of others. Key duties include designing electronic hardware, overseeing design documentation, and ensuring the manufacturability and reliability of electrical circuit cards that meet the stringent requirements of space environments. The engineer conducts detailed electrical analyses, selects appropriate components and materials, and ensures designs comply with industry standards such as Military, FAA, NASA, and other space-related specifications. A crucial part of the role is attending and leading design reviews, where the engineer presents design concepts, progress, and analysis results to stakeholders, solicits feedback, addresses concerns, and drives consensus on design decisions. The engineer also reviews designs created by other engineers to ensure quality, compliance with standards, and best practices, providing constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement. The role requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and extensive experience in circuit design and electronic hardware development, with knowledge or experience in space-qualified hardware preferred. Strong knowledge of a wide range of electrical components and proven success in delivering production-ready designs are essential. Main responsibilities: Validate circuit design solutions with trade studies and analyses considering space environment constraints Attend and lead design reviews to communicate progress and gather feedback Review other engineers' designs to ensure quality and compliance, especially for space standards Collaborate effectively with design teams, incorporating feedback Represent professionally in technical discussions Develop and test reliable electronic hardware through rigorous programs suitable for space conditions Create accurate design documentation and test reports Signal integrity Analysis Worst Case Analysis Bandwidth Analysis Parts Stress/ Derating Analysis Early in projects, the engineer works closely with customers to understand requirements, propose innovative circuit solutions tailored for space missions, and assist in preparing winning technical proposals. They regularly communicate with manufacturing, test, and reliability teams to coordinate design status and ensure compatibility, especially considering the unique challenges of space hardware such as radiation tolerance and extreme temperature variations.
