A full-time or part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for an early childhood school in Huron, CA. This contract opportunity focuses on assessing and treating speech and language disorders in young students, playing a vital role in their communication development and academic progress.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to determine individual student needs
Design and implement tailored therapy plans targeting speech sound disorders, language delays, fluency, voice issues, and social communication challenges
Deliver direct therapy services to students, adapting techniques to maximize progress
Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to integrate supportive communication strategies within the classroom environment
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) CCC-SLP
Experience working with children in educational or clinical settings preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork and family engagement
