CLA's trucking and logistics client is seeking a data-driven and strategic thinker to join their team as a
Strategic Pricing Manager . This role plays a critical part in shaping and executing pricing strategies that support profitable growth, operational efficiency, and market competitiveness across our freight network. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for leveraging technology to drive results. Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement dynamic pricing models that reflect market conditions and customer demand. Design pricing strategies to build and fill capacity in new and existing markets. Support pricing decisions that prioritize long-term profitability and sustainable growth. Apply data and analytics to evaluate pricing effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture. Contribute innovative ideas and encourage creative problem-solving. Support change management initiatives across pricing and commercial functions. Demonstrate leadership potential with the ability to scale and mentor a pricing team. Exhibit a strong work ethic and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Leverage technology and automation tools to enhance pricing efficiency and accuracy. Utilize workflow automation to streamline pricing operations. Apply AI and pricing algorithms to determine optimal pricing by account, freight type, region, and lane. Understand and apply dynamic pricing and costing models in decision-making. Cross-Functional Business Partnership
Collaborate with senior leadership to align pricing strategies with company goals. Partner with Finance to support profitability targets and margin improvement. Work closely with Sales to drive revenue growth through strategic pricing. Coordinate with Operations to ensure pricing supports capacity planning and service delivery. Engage with IT to advance automation and analytics capabilities in pricing systems. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field 5+ years of experience in pricing strategy, financial analysis, or logistics. Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, etc.). Experience with pricing software, AI tools, and workflow automation platforms. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Details
