Role Summary
Seeking a Staff Computer Vision Engineer to lead the development and deployment of advanced perception systems across edge and cloud environments. The role involves driving innovation in object detection, tracking, and scene understanding, collaborating cross-functionally to build reliable, scalable CV solutions. This is a hands-on technical leadership position focused on delivering production-ready systems and mentoring engineering talent. Responsibilities
Design and implement CV algorithms (object detection, tracking, segmentation, scene understanding) Optimize and deploy models on edge devices and cloud platforms Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks and perception failures Define KPIs and lead rigorous system evaluation and validation Collaborate with hardware, ML, and software teams to refine system architecture Mentor team members and promote engineering excellence Integrate state-of-the-art ML/CV research into production systems Qualifications
M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field 8+ years of experience building and deploying perception systems in real-world applications Strong background in deep learning (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and classical CV (OpenCV) Expertise in object detection, tracking, segmentation, sensor fusion, or 3D geometry Skilled in Python or C++, with experience on both edge devices and cloud infrastructure Familiarity with data pipelines, labeling, evaluation, and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Kafka, ROS2, Docker, Kubernetes) Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) Proven technical leadership and mentorship Publications or patents in computer vision or applied machine learning are a plus
