About the position...
The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of commercial, residential, and fit-out construction projects to include scope, schedule, finance, risk, quality, and resource management.
- Day-to-day management of assigned construction projects including but not limited to commercial, multi-family/residential, and fit-out projects from planning through turnover.
- Develop project schedules, distribute to stakeholders, and manage as necessary to meet key milestones.
- Coordinate with permitting officials to ensure permitting requirements are met, proper documents are submitted, and necessary inspections are carried out.
- Schedule and attend regular site visits to ensure safety, scope, and schedule compliance.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting of project metrics to key stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Superintendents, Foreman, Suppliers, and Contractors to ensure smooth logistical flow of materials and services.
- Coordinate with the Director of Construction, Design Manager, Chief Estimator, Ownership, and Partners for project forecasting, prioritizing, and planning.
- Work with Estimators, Designers, and other project support to formulate estimates for business and project planning.
- Coordinate with project teams and key stakeholders to develop accurate, comprehensive project budgets.
- Review plans and other project documentation to gain a deep understanding of project requirements.
- Prepare Invitations to Bid (ITBs) with clear scopes of work provided to potential bidders.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key vendors.
- Navigate project folders and Sage to retrieve quotes, bids, and Purchase Order (PO) supporting documents.
- Communicate with Field Superintendents, PM’s, Contractors, and Vendors as required to ensure PO terms are met.
What we are looking for from you...
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
- 5-10 years of commercial construction project management experience is required
- Experience in large scale multi-family/residential construction project management is a plus
- A strong understanding of modern construction methods and means is required
- Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, and MS Outlook is required
- The ability to read and interpret construction plans is required
- Safety Oriented – OSHA Certification is highly preferred but not required
- PMP certification, College Degree, or equivalent with a focus on Construction Project Management and Project Accounting is preferred
- Experience with construction management, estimating, and takeoff software is preferred - Bluebeam and Sage is a plus
- Must be highly organized and detail oriented
