Staff Accountant

Location: Hudson, MA **LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY**

Type: Direct Hire (on-site, permanent role with NESC Staffing’s client)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Hudson, MA. This direct hire opportunity offers a chance to make a real impact on both financial operations and the success of our client’s growing manufacturing business. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and collaboration are key.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily accounting tasks, including general ledger account reconciliations and preparing journal entries for bank accounts and credit cards.
  • Assist with monthly and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy in reporting and readiness for audit.s
  • Oversee project costing and monitor inventory to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, including depreciation schedules
  • Support accounts payable functions and review pricing/quotes as needed
  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 5–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including raw materials and cost of goods sold
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Proactive and eager to learn, with a team-first mindset and strong business acumen
