JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Derivative Post Trade Operations (DPTO) team. This is a client-facing role focused on the affirmation and confirmation of derivative trades across the Equity asset class. The candidate will collaborate closely with sales, traders, trade support, drafting, legal, and global DPTO counterparts to resolve bottlenecks, address client queries, and ensure timely confirmation of trades to manage risk and exposure for the firm. Responsibilities also include trade detail reconciliation, client onboarding to electronic matching platforms, and contributing to projects aimed at enhancing systems and processes. Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Affirmation and confirmation of derivative trades across the Equity asset class
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, traders, trade support, legal, drafting) and global DPTO counterparts to resolve issues
- Address and resolve client queries while managing risk and exposure for the firm
- Check and reconcile client trade details for accuracy
- Support development and implementation of enhancements to products, systems, and processes
- Assist with onboarding clients to electronic matching platforms
- Participate in strategic projects aimed at creating a consistent global approach across asset classes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client-facing teams
Required Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to process improvement
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Confident in communicating with various departments including front office
- Quick learner with strong risk and control focus
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the front-to-back lifecycle of derivative products
- Good understanding of derivative products
- Previous experience in client-facing roles
Education
Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
Years of Experience
Prior experience in a financial operations or similar client-facing role preferred
