OverviewGrowing twin city firm looking to add a talented Director of Electrical Engineering!ResponsibilitiesPrepare engineering documents / equipment specifications to meet scope of work and ensure application of Electrical Power, Lighting and Systems Design and Principles, and Data, Low Voltage, Security, Paging and clock systemsServe as project manager and oversee project teamEnsure project stays within scopeMentor / train electrical engineers / designersSet department standardsPerforms quality control reviews of prepared plans, specifications, and documents, reviewing change orders, responding to RFI’sAssist with business development (proposals, meetings, presentations)Provide work direction to team members / subcontractorsApprove final equipment selections / drawing submittalsProvide technical / engineering supportConstruction administration duties including leading / attending meetings, reviewing change orders, responding to RFI’sLead / attend meetingsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering8+ years of experiencePE LicenseEffective meeting management skillsAbility to build rapport / credibility with clientsAbility to organize department in a way to meet project deadlinesStrong attention to detailBasic understanding of Architectural, Mechanical, Civil and Structural Engineering construction practicesWorking knowledge of cost / value for electrical building components for assigned scope of workAutoCAD and REVIT experienceStrong knowledge of NEC and other relevant codesRCDD certification or a strong knowledge of Technology Systems designSuccessful applicants must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to protected veteran status, disability, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.Please contact Laura Harrison for further information!517-906-6926 #J-18808-Ljbffr
