Payroll Administrator
Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis to ensure the smooth processing of payroll functions. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to ensure compliance with all payroll regulations and company policies. Responsibilities: Process weekly, biweekly, or monthly payroll for 90-110 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Verify and reconcile payroll data, including timesheets, benefits deductions, and tax information. Prepare and input journal entries into the general ledger related to payroll activities, including adjustments and accruals. Handle payroll tax filings, creating and submitting tax reports for local, state, and federal agencies. Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, resolving discrepancies and providing excellent customer service. Assist with year-end payroll processes, including issuing W-2 forms and preparing 1099 statements. Maintain proper documentation for audits and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. Requirements: 3+ years of experience in payroll administration or related field. Ideally with a small business with 90-110 employees. Strong knowledge of payroll systems and processes; experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, SAP, Kronos, or UltiPro). Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.). Familiarity with payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements. Exceptional attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external entities. Preferred Skills: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus. Construction background a plus. Experience with multi-state payroll processing.
