Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)
Location: Alpine, CA Rate: $40/hr Hours per Week: 30 Duration: 36 weeks Position Summary:
The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) supports the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in delivering speech and language services. Responsibilities include clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment-related activities, all within the scope of the plan of care assigned by the supervising SLP and/or physician. Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of an SLPA program with an associate's degree OR a bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Successful completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork experience or equivalent clinical experience as required by state and/or contract Current certification or licensure as an SLPA in the state of practice Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice Preferred: One (1) year of prior professional SLPA experience TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable) Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age General Comments: SLPA role supporting speech and language services under SLP supervision.
