Medical Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team. The role involves preparing and maintaining clinical areas, including stocking rooms, cleaning instruments, and setting up rooms for procedures. You will also be responsible for patient intake, which includes collecting medical history, recording symptoms, and escorting patients to examination rooms. Responsibilities
Stock and prepare examination rooms for procedures. Clean and sterilize instruments using an autoclave. Collect and record patient medical history and symptoms. Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms. Assist with phlebotomy and taking vital signs. Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems, including eClinical Works. Provide primary patient care and support. Communicate professionally and provide excellent customer service. Essential Skills
Completion of a Medical Assistant program. Minimum of 1 year of clinical medical assistant experience. Strong professional communication skills. Ability to provide excellent customer service. Experience with phlebotomy and vital sign monitoring. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required. Experience with EMR systems is an asset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Work Environment
This position is based in a high-volume, fast-paced community health center environment. You will work Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm at our Peekskill, NY location. The role involves serving a diverse patient population, ensuring access to comprehensive primary, preventative, and behavioral health services. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Peekskill, New York. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
