Project Manager

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves leading a team, including a Project Administrator and Assistant Project Manager, in support of large-scale wastewater treatment plant retrofits and expansions valued at over $50 million.

Responsibilities

  • Provide management and leadership for the construction management process, including safety management, inspection and testing, resident engineering, submittal review, cost and schedule management, and document control.
  • Ensure effective use of the Construction Management Information System for logging and documenting all construction management activities.
  • Lead the on-site construction management safety program.
  • Continuously monitor and update the project risk register.
  • Direct the planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.
  • Facilitate and document weekly construction progress meetings.
  • Determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.
  • Ensure availability of subcontractors and major construction equipment for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Assign tasks to Construction Inspectors, Resident Engineers, Document Control staff, and Construction Superintendents, monitoring progress and recommending corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct performance evaluations of assigned staff.
  • Manage manpower, materials, and equipment assignments to maximize efficiency, maintain schedules, and meet budget goals.
  • Stay alert to potential problem areas and take preventive actions to ensure milestones are met for each project phase.
  • Ensure sound construction practices for quality control at maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
  • Prepare periodic reports summarizing construction progress for higher-level management and clients.
  • Implement company and client policies and procedures, including labor relations policies.
  • Serve as the primary contact with client representatives, subcontractors, and government representatives for construction-related activities.
  • Maintain strong client and community relations.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Project management and construction management expertise.
  • Experience with water/wastewater facilities, large civil/structural, and industrial projects.
  • Proficiency in construction management software such as P6 and Microsoft Office.
  • 10+ years of experience in field construction.
  • 4-year degree in construction-related field or equivalent work experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in MEP, project coordination, change order management, RFI, mechanical estimation, and document control.

The role involves working in an office trailer on a wastewater project. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $52.89/hr.
