As a Security Guard - Healthcare Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure and welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the facility, monitoring for any security-related incidents, and remaining highly visible to help deter unwanted activity. You will be expected to provide outstanding customer service, respond promptly to situations as they arise, and communicate clearly with both team members and the public. This position requires driving as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license is essential. What You'll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment for staff, visitors, and patients.
- Document observations and report incidents or irregularities according to site protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns and support the facilitys operations.
- Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, adapting to changing conditions within the healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver's license required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
