Valle Vista Health System, a 132-bed facility located in Greenwood, Indiana, has been providing high-quality behavioral health care since 1983. We offer care for a broad range of psychiatric and addiction disorders to adults and to patients as young as five years old.

Responsibilities

The HR Director is a member of the leadership team reporting directly to the CEO. The role leads the delivery of workforce strategies and drives the effective implementation of key HR programs, policies, and practices. The HR Director partners with other business leaders to drive recruitment, employee relations, coaching, performance management, employee engagement, and all other functional HR areas. The ideal candidate will bring sound management experience and solid HR practices across all HR functions to support a dynamic employee culture and long-term career success for staff.

  • Lead the development and execution of workforce strategies and HR programs.
  • Partner with business leaders to drive recruitment, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations ensuring compliance and sound practices while aligning with strategic goals.
  • Foster a vibrant and engaging workplace culture focused on employee development and retention.

Qualifications

The HR Director position requires:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field required.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years’ experience in human resources, three years’ HR management experience, and two years’ healthcare experience preferred. Ability to operate in both tactical and strategic modes; adaptable to moving between hands-on and strategic work.
  • Certification: Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
