A public K-12 school in Oakland, CA, is seeking a full-time School Psychologist for the 2025-2026 school year under a contract arrangement. This role serves mainly an elementary TK-5th grade school three days per week, with the remaining two days dedicated to private school evaluations or supporting other school psychologists within the district.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students Write detailed and accurate reports outlining findings and recommendations Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings Attend and contribute to school meetings such as COST (Coordination of Services Team) and SST (Student Study Team) Provide leadership and coordination for the special education team at the elementary school site Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student needs Qualifications/Experience: Valid credential and certification as a School Psychologist Experience working with elementary school students, particularly in TK-5th grade range Strong knowledge of assessment tools, IEP processes, and special education laws Ability to manage a varied caseload and multi-task across service delivery settings Effective interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork and leadership roles Location: Oakland, California Hours and Schedule: Full-time position with typical school hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. On-site presence three days per week at one elementary school; two days allocated to off-site or district-wide support activities This opportunity offers meaningful engagement supporting students academic and social-emotional development in a collaborative K-12 district environment.
