A full-time contract opportunity is available for a School Social Worker to support K-12 students in Lansing, MI for the current school year. This role involves providing critical social work services to enhance student well-being and educational success in a dynamic school setting.

Key responsibilities include: Reviewing and assessing student records to identify needs and appropriate interventions Collaborating effectively with school staff, parents, and community resources to support student achievement and wellness Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to advocate for student needs and contribute to goal development Conducting both group and individual counseling sessions addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges Serving as an active member of the Student Support Team to develop and implement support plans Qualifications: Valid Michigan School Social Worker certification or eligibility to obtain certification Current Michigan Social Worker License Experience working within school environments, preferably K-12 Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with diverse stakeholders Ability to manage confidential information and demonstrate ethical professional standards This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students lives by fostering a supportive and inclusive school climate.
