A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the school year within a K-12 setting located in Brockton, MA. This contract role involves working primarily with self-contained classrooms serving students with moderate to severe disabilities.

Responsibilities include: Delivering specialized instruction tailored to PreK-4 students with the potential to support progress through grades 6-8 Implementing behavior management strategies for students requiring support Collaborating with educational teams to develop meaningful Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Managing classroom activities within the bell schedule from 7:30am to 2:30pm, including dedicated prep time from 1:00pm to 2:30pm Monitoring student progress and adjusting teaching methods to meet individual needs Qualifications and experience: Certification in Massachusetts for Moderate or Severe Special Education Proven experience working with behaviorally challenged students in self-contained settings Strong understanding of special education laws, procedures, and instructional strategies Ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain a supportive learning environment Location: Brockton, MA This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students requiring specialized educational support within a structured school day.
