Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM 3:00 PM (37.5 hours/week) Caseload:
10-12 students with more significant disabilities Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for assigned students Deliver specialized instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and counselors, to support student development Monitor and document student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters student growth and engagement Qualifications: Valid Alabama certification in Elementary Special Education or Collaborative K-6 Experience working with students who have significant disabilities is strongly preferred Strong understanding of state and federal regulations governing special education Excellent communication and organizational skills This role offers a chance to contribute to the education and well-being of students requiring specialized support within an elementary school environment.
