This role provides strategic leadership to guide data-driven insights, governance, and modern data architectures across the sector. The Opportunity

We are looking for a Data & Analytics Leader to deliver data-driven insights and solutions, guiding clients through analytics, data governance, and modern data platforms. You will provide strategic leadership and a business-focused perspective on how data and analytics can improve operations, increase agility, and drive transformation. You will design and apply comprehensive methods to govern the lifecycle of data assets, perform maturity assessments, and advise on tools and roadmaps aligned with business objectives. This is a high-growth, high-visibility role with significant opportunity to shape digital and data strategies across the oil & gas sector. Your Key Responsibilities

Lead engagement delivery and manage client relationships on a daily basis. Develop resource plans and budgets for engagements, ensuring effective engagement economics. Exercise judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results. Define and execute the analytics and data governance strategy for oil & gas clients, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement robust data governance frameworks, including policies, data stewardship models, roles, and accountability across the organization. Oversee Master Data Management (MDM), metadata management, and data cataloging practices to ensure data consistency, discoverability, and trust. Ensure compliance with data privacy, protection, and regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), working with Legal, Security, and Risk teams. Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of analysts, engineers, and data stewards to deliver high-quality outcomes. Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective data architectures to support business intelligence and advanced analytics needs. Oversee cloud-based data management platforms and technologies (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Hadoop) for ingestion, storage, and processing. Drive the design and implementation of analytical models, data pipelines, and visualizations to solve complex business problems. Leverage advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to enhance operational efficiency and reduce cost. Translate business initiatives into prioritized use cases with measurable ROI and manage delivery across multiple domains. Develop and champion data literacy programs, training, and change management initiatives. Communicate analytical findings through data storytelling, dashboards, and visualizations for business and technical audiences. Build and maintain trusted relationships with client stakeholders across operations, IT, engineering, and leadership. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and oil & gas domain trends. Qualifications — To Qualify for the Role

To excel in this role, you will need a blend of technical and interpersonal skills that drive impactful results, with the ability to build and manage relationships and strong analytical capabilities. A bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in a quantitative or technical field with prior consulting experience. At least 8 years of relevant experience in data analytics, data governance, or data strategy, preferably in the oil & gas industry. Proven success deploying analytics solutions across upstream, midstream, and downstream domains. Deep knowledge of data governance, including data quality frameworks, stewardship models, compliance, and policy creation. Experience in Master Data Management (MDM), metadata, lineage tracking, and data catalog tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation). Experience designing and deploying scalable data architectures. Proficiency with data analytics tools and platforms: SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, Cognite, Palantir, Dataiku, or similar. Expertise in advanced analytics, data science, and machine learning to solve operational or financial challenges. Hands-on experience with big data and cloud platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Hadoop). Ability to lead large-scale digital transformation engagements, manage delivery risk, and foster trusted client relationships. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business domains. Mentoring mindset and ability to build high-performing data teams. Hands-on experience with cloud and data engineering tools including Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and data orchestration platforms. Strong understanding of regulatory and data privacy implications in the oil & gas sector. A valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to travel to client locations as needed. Experience deploying data products in ESG, operational efficiency, or safety compliance in industrial environments. Familiarity with data mesh concepts and decentralized data ownership models. Certifications in Azure Data Engineer, Snowflake, Databricks or related platforms. Experience with Data Office Organization and IT Architecture. Familiarity with Digital Fluency and Hybrid Collaboration techniques. Emotional agility to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics. What We Look For
