A K-12 school located in Dillingham, AK is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Counselor for the 2025-2026 school year on a contract basis. Key Responsibilities: Provide individual and group counseling to K-12 students to address academic, social, and emotional challenges Develop and implement mental health programs that promote positive student development Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and outside agencies to support student success Participate in school-wide initiatives to foster a safe and inclusive learning environment Conduct mental health assessments and provide crisis intervention as needed Qualifications: Licensed or license-eligible counselor with expertise in school-based mental health services Experience working with children and adolescents in a K-12 setting preferred Strong understanding of adolescent development, crisis intervention, and counseling techniques Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate with diverse stakeholders Demonstrated commitment to student-centered care and confidentiality standards Location: This position is based in Dillingham, Alaska, serving students across all K-12 grade levels.
