Key Responsibilities: Provide counseling and support services to middle school students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized support plans Conduct assessments to identify students needs and connect them with appropriate community resources Facilitate group sessions focused on skill-building, conflict resolution, and mental health awareness Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district policies and regulations Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute insights and action plans Desired Qualifications: Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution Valid social work license recognized in the state of New York Experience working within school settings, particularly with middle school populations Strong knowledge of child development, adolescent behavior, and family dynamics Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families Familiarity with community resources and social services relevant to youth and families Compassion, patience, and resilience in addressing complex student needs Location: North Tonawanda, New York Middle School environment Benefits: Opportunity to positively influence student lives and support academic success Collaborative work atmosphere with educational professionals Gain valuable experience in school-based social work during the school year contract Candidates with a passion for advocacy and student wellness are encouraged to apply for this contract role.
