Occupational Therapist (OT)
to join our school-based therapy team in
Rutland, VT
. As an OT, you'll play a vital role in helping students with disabilities access their education and participate fully in school activities by addressing their fine motor, visual-perceptual, sensory processing, and self-care needs. Responsibilities
Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans to meet student IEP goals.
Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and develop appropriate interventions.
Assist students with activities of daily living (ADLs), fine motor skill development, handwriting, sensory regulation, and the use of adaptive equipment.
Monitor student progress, document observations, and report effectively to relevant school staff and parents.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student goals within the classroom and school environment.
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for students.
Requirements
Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current and valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Vermont.
Prior school-based or pediatric experience is a significant plus.
Commitment to working on-site only.
